The time that we have a ready supply of calcium is usually during childhood up to early adulthood, but even then, we may not necessarily meet the Recommended Daily Allowance for this mineral. It is recommended that we raise the amount of nutritional supplement vitamin or mineral for calcium as we grow older since the absorption of calcium declines as we age.

Weight bearing exercises and other forms of non weight bearing exercises can help to maintain and improve the health of our bones. We may think that our bones stop growing as we reach a certain age but in actuality our bones are a living tissue that has developments even as we mature and age. A nutritional supplement vitamin and exercise can help us maintain bone health.
